Founded in 2004, the band went through some changes until 2007. After more or less thirty concerts, which they had over the two previous years, with as well regional bands as foreign bands and replacing their former guitar player, they found themselves back in 2008 taking a different path in music. After a period of experimenting in a rather modest and restricted hardcore metal domain, they have developed their new proper musicstyle. You could call their new direction a more open and alternative way to approach metal or even simply music, with a wide spectrum of possibilities and ideas.
At in the end of 2008, Stepback recorded their first demo cd entitled “not dead yet”. Its release follows in the beginning of 2009, as they intent to promote it and themselves after a dry year concertwise.
