In the middle of 2004 Bene and Adrian started to think of founding a Punkrock band. After many tries they joined their former band, called "The Ikarus Project", in the beginning of 2005. More covering than writing real own songs the band decided to skip the project after 3 shows in the beginning of 2007 and the members went different ways. Except Adrian and Bene! They were sure about the wish to found another band. More professional, more aim-orientated. So Bene and Adrian started to write new songs and search for new members. It didn't take long, till they saw it would be an Emo/Hardcore band, they are founding. The songs started to develop in their own directions, influenced by great bands like Funeral For A Friend, Atreyu or even Caliban. Even the influences of some regional bands could be seen, soon.
So after a long search for good men Tobse, Felix and Dani joined the band. After a first connive rehearsal the band knew, they got the capability to write and do the music they love on the level they wanted to.
4 months after the final founding of the Band named "RESORT TO ESCAPE" their members went to Wangen, to record their very first 5-song-EP named "IN MY LAST HOURS". With their first show on 26th of January 2008 they started a new era in all of their lives and decided to rock all the shows they can to gladden all the people, that love the same kind of music as they do!!
Just about 5 months after the final founding of the Band the 5 musicians were able to sign a lable deal with Heartbeatmedia (click for information about our deal...)...
Unfortunately Felix decided to leave the band in February '08. The left 4 musicians were sure not to cancel the project because of this. So they searched for a new member who would be able to play at least 4 chords in a row. So they finally found TIM! He couldn't play 4 chords in a row, but was able to shred like hell. So he joined the band and became a full member nowadays...
In July '08 the band subscribed a Management contract with Xabi Management, Frankfurt.
In June 2008 the band won Ravensburg's local Bandclash and were allowed to play a show on the big cityfest. But it was a dearly purchased victory: the price was ADRIAN! After the contest he felt that there was something wrong. He had an acute hearing loss. So after a long yes or no he decided in the doctors advice to leave the band, because he might be deaf if something like this would have happened again. So the band asked Joachim Förster if he want's to do the drums for RESORT TO ESCAPE. Sceptical in the beginning he finally decided to take the job and became a full member of the band. Watching this as kind of musical push RESORT TO ESCAPE started to write new songs with Joda and they went to studio to record their new EP "Ruins of my reflection" with their new drummer. It will be released in spring 2009.
