Vier Akkorde für ein Halleluja!
Liebe Leute, nun wird’s kitschig! Ich möchte mich fast schon entschuldigen und damit herausreden, dass ich “Freedom for the World” gar nicht selbst ausgeheckt, sondern lediglich geträumt habe: Es war ein großer, festlich geschmückter und glänzender Raum, und überall trällerte, jubilierte und bimmelte es, dass es nur so eine Wonne war! Nach dem Aufwachen musste das Lied dann “nur noch gemacht werden”. Der Text schrieb sich in einer Viertelstunde, die Hauptmelodie war ja schon da, die “Halleluja”- und “Gloria”-Melodien entwickelten sich wie von selbst. Am Ende steht eine Art “Schlagerhymne” zum Mitsingen, introducing “The reklov-Singers featuring the BBC Orchestra”!
Da dieser Song tatsächlich “very special” ist, habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, ihn im Rahmen einer “Christmas EP” zu veröffentlichen. Diese enthält am Ende noch mal eine “Karaokeversion” des Songs zum fröhlichen Mitträllern. Und das Tolle: Wem die drei Melodien nicht reichen, darf gerne parallel “It’s raining again” oder “Always look on the Bright Side of Life” dazusingen - das klappt!
Die Vorstellung, dass alle Völker Hand in Hand ein naives Lied von Frieden und Freiheit anstimmen, mag kitschig und abgedroschen sein - mir ist sie allemal lieber als eine Erde, die krisengeschüttelt in Schutt und Asche zerfällt.
