Blunder The Queen
I made it through the opening, achieved a nice position
Felt so content with myself and thought that I would win
But then I got impatient and I made a bad decision
I felt a rising pressure, so I blundered my queen
I’m not sure why it happened, I slipped between the lines
I never meant to lose her and I won’t beg her to be mine
Yes, I blundered my queen though she means the world to me
Almost ready to resign, and the game seemed lost forever
But I know I’m gonna win, and I’m gonna make her see
I can change and when I’m back I’ll be stronger than ever
The middle game got more complex and I fought like a lion
I took emotions off the board and changed the way I moved
And though it seemed so hopeless I just kept on trying
I turned a pawn into a queen and got back into the groove
Now I will play more carefully, not slip between the lines
And if I treat her with respect she's bound to be all mine
Yes, I blundered my queen though she means the world to me
