Aus dem Wunsch elektronische Musik live zu präsentieren entstand Anfang 2009 in Hannover eine offene Bühne für Live-Acts. Teil dieses regelmäßigen Abends waren die gemeinsamen Jam-Sessions. Das Besondere daran war die reine Beschränkung auf Hardware Equipment. Hier liegt der Grundstein für das Projekte „Open Synth“.
Open Synth sind 5 Musiker, jeder mit seinem eigenen musikalischen Background, die vorher schon in Hannover verschiedene Projekte gestaltet haben (von Partys, Deko, Visuals bis Djing und Live-Gigs).
Open Synth spielen immer live und immer improvisiert. Die musikalischen Ideen der Einzelnen beeinflussen sich gegenseitig und schaffen jedes mal ein neues und einzigartiges Set.
Dieses Konzept fand sehr schnell Anklang. Insgesamt blickt die Gruppe im ersten Jahrs auf mehr als 26 Gigs zurück.

In the beginning of 2009, born from the wish to present electronic music live, an open stage for live acts was founded in Hannover. An important part of this periodical evening were the joint jam-sessions with the restricion to pure hardware equipment. This was the foundation of the "Open Synth" project.
Open Synth consists of 5 musicians, each one having their own musical background, who have been organizing and creating several projects in Hannover (from parties, decoration & visuals to DJing and live-performances).
Open Synth is always live and always improvised. The musical ideas of every member influence each other and create a new and unique set each time. This concept caught on very quickly and on the whole the group looks back on 26 performances within the first year.
