Biographies are usually rather boring than interesting.
Mine is not different:
I was born in Louisianna and raised on a Texas Farm...

No, ;-) just kidding.

Let´s talk about Blues and what it means to me.

The first record I ever had was an album I got from my older cousin: John Mayall - Looking Back. It contained wonderful songs such as "My blues for Jenny", "Supernatural" or "Have you heard". It touched my heart and soul. Shortly after that I met people in a youth camp in the south of France who played the blues. I loved it.

Since then I wanted to sing and play the guitar. Unfortunately it took some time to realize it and I was 35 of age when I formed my first band. With that I realized my dream but it took another seven years to start really with playing the blues.

Blues is not only music. Blues means life: emotion, ups and downs, communication, understanding, tolerance, compassion, relations, support. Blues is expression of all of this. Well, that´s my point of view...

Since I do the blues I feel good. The good experiences I could make would not have been possible without the help of some nice people I´d like to say

THANK YOU

to. I really love them for their friendship, loyality, company and support.

Firstly my wife Angela and my grown up kids Philipp and Florian. And the elementary teacher of my kids, Petra Baumann, who motivated me to start up a band. And my friends with whom I regularly play the Blues: Hans-Jörg Himmeröder (Band), Hubert Hering (Band), Klaus-Peter Lingnau, Rainer Bienek, Pinky Baumann and of course a lot more...

Special thanks go to Dave Shannon from London and Stewart Ward and Dave Sadd from Basingstoke. These are really nice guys. Dave is a fine harp player and singer and he has a wonderful band called "The Dead Cat Bounce". He hosts a jam night in London where I played the ever first time in the UK. Stewart is a fine guitarist and the maker of Award Sessions Amps. These are transistor based and sound incredibly good. Dave plays great drums and I have had quite a few gigs with these three already. And there is a colleague from our UK branch: David Christie, whose support I appreciate as well.

Cheers guys - you were and are just wonderful.

After a break of more than three years due to my demanding job I just started to revive my WAYOUT BLUES BAND. There´ll be own tunes by late April I guess...
