"Hits like steel"
Founded in 2006 5 sound engineers and stage hands from monstercity in North Rhine-Westphalia come together and started to shred some metal & hardcore-tunes.
Soon Hellsquad (named after a 50ties war-movie) played their first concerts in their hometown.
Strongly influenced by bands like Pro-Pain, Pantera & some modern rockbands Hellsquad created a very unique sound which is somewhere between the thrashy side of the old-school metal-bands mixed with some melodious parts and a tiny bit of rockn'roll.
One of their trademarks is the snotty vocal-battle of the two shouters Sebastian Hoffmann(ex-Meatballz) and Michael Kleinat.
At the moment the drummer Stephan"8Beer"Weyer (Magma 47,ex-Burn,ex-Sidewalk...) the bassplayer Stephan Woestmann(Time will Tell) and the guitarist Florian Steppke(Alchemy Castle, ex-Southern Lights, ex-Sidewalk...) are recording the instrumentals for the first complete Hellsquad-album "the beginning of rebellion"...
