A ballad about how I met my wife.
Voice: Steve Roderick
Voice: Steve Roderick
On a Saturday night, plans falling apart,
My friend stayed behind, so I followed my heart.
I went out alone, with no clue what I’d find,
Then I saw her in a bar, like a sign in my mind.
I talked to her, she replied without care,
Cheeky words, sharp and hard, hanging right in the air.
She asked if I want to come with her that night,
I didn’t hesitate — I was ready on sight.
Later she smiled and denied it outright,
She never had asked me that question very night.
We drank and danced, laughed till morning was near, Lost track of the hours, forgot our
fear.
From that day on, it was easy to see,
Not a weekend went by where she wasn’t with me.
Now here we stand, twenty-five years,
happily married, through laughter and tears.
So I ask you this question, just you and me: Coincidence… or destiny
