Same Old Blues
The flowers of `68 they didn’t bring fruits
They now seem still life
And all that we can do
Is sweep away dried leaves
Only TV does it right if
And history doesn’t teach
Power, money and religion
What should I do now?
The same old blues
Is still actual
The rage hasn’t changed
Maybe some notes
The message remains the same
Evolution turns and turns
Someone walked on the moon
Someone is killing out of love
Someone is making war for peace
Crusades are not cruises
With swords or a B52
Where were you that day at school?
You, you big captain?
Surely, it seems that I stuck in time
What should I do?
Nothing happened
And my blues still seems new
I wish to sing “Thank You”
For freedom and for health
For happiness and love
But until that time
I’ll sing this same old blues
I will to try to water, to try to water
The flowers of ’68.
