The Told ist eine fünfköpfige Combo aus dem Saarland, die sich seit vier Jahren unaufhaltsam einen Weg durch das Musikgewirr bahnt. Eine erfrischend alternative Sound-Mixtur aus progressiven Klängen und metallischem Antrieb, tingiert in einem Schmelztigel emotionsgeladener Melodien. Ihre musikalischen Wurzeln sind so breitgefächert, dass als äußerste Vertreter Bands wie System Of A Down auf der einen und Led Zeppelin auf der anderen Seite, nur erahnen lassen, mit welcher Soundvielfalt man von The Told bei den Eiern gepackt wird.
In einer Zeit, in der Weichspülmusik mit durchgelutschten Phrasen als Neuheit verkauft wird, bleiben The Told ihren Vorstellungen über handgemachte und ehrliche Musik treu. Fahrstuhlmucke ist abgesagt!
Nach einigen Demos, der EP “Inter Vivos”, veröffentlichten The Told mit “Sedated Solace” ihr erstes Full-Length Studio Album. Aufgenommen im Death Tone Studio in Saarbrücken und vollgepackt mit 13 Songs, die frischen Wind durch den Gehörgang drücken, ist “Sedated Solace” ein Erstlingswerk, das seinesgleichen sucht.

The Told is a five piece musician combo from Saarland Germany which has been tearing their way through the music scene for now its 5th year. With a refreshing alternative sound mixed with progressive and driving Metal elements The Told evokes a melting pot of invoking melodies. Each member brings with them broad musical influences that range from bands like System of a Down on one side, to Led Zeppelin on the other, shown through their music that hits you straight in the balls. During a time where music seems to be rehashed and mundane, The Told offers unique handmade and honest music. Elevator music is out!!
After an EP & Demo “The Told” released their Debut Album “Sedated Solace” in May 2011. Recorded at Death Tone Studio in Saarbrücken the album is packed with 13 songs ready to pierce and tantalize your ears. Sedated Solace rivals all debut’s, even from the best.
