I feel like standing in a queue,
then it’s my turn, but where are you?
I thought you were still by my side
and realise you’re gone.
Frustration’s creeping in my soul,
but I can’t fail to reach my goal.
I climb the last stairs to the stage,
and then the spotlight’s on.
When we chatted the day before
everything was alright,
then you walked through this exit door.
What about our plight?
Darkness all in front of me,
a thousand eyes, no guarantee
that they will listen to my voice,
but I don’t have a choice.
I feel like being all alone
and grab hold of my microphone.
I take a breath to start the race,
and then I see your face.
See the doubts in your shiny eyes,
Try to get something straight,
know the rumours have all been lies,
act before it’s too late.
The show goes on, although you’re gone
The show goes on, although you’re gone
The show goes on, although you’re gone
The show goes on, although you’re gone
The show goes on, although you’re gone
The show goes on, although you’re gone
