Man soll eben doch seinem Bar-Mann vertrauen.
Eberhard Anton: Gitarre, Background-Gesang
Wichard Harders: Bassgitarre
Joachim Warnecke: Saxophon, Gesang

She stood at the bar and drank champagne,
and I was the one who lost his lane.
I could not even speak a single word,
and I spilled my glass of beer.
I talked to the girl with the dark brown eyes.
She flattened her dress and told me lies,
when the bar keeper gently took me aside
and said: “Take care my friend”.
REFRAIN:
Take care my friend.
Take care my friend.
Just understand.
Take care my friend.
The girl told me to be alone
and my bar stool grew to be a throne.
My throat ran dry, and my lips got wet.
I felt a crown upon my head.
We had a lot of drinks and some bars to roam,
and at the end of my cash I walked her home.
She took me upstairs for a cup of tea,
and I felt asleep before I counted to three.
REFRAIN
A strong sunshine powered at my face,
and some early birds shouted without grace.
So I awoke in the yard without a single cent,
and I certainly knew what the barman meant.
So if you ever meet the girl with the dark brown eyes,
don’t believe what she says cause she’s telling lies.
Accept the barman’s words for true,
cause he knows the best for you.
Yes, he knows the best for you.
He knows the best for you.
He knows the best for you.
