Why do we need such a hard beat
And now I guess we don’t need such a mess
The interests we’ve got, are shared with a lot
And what do we say at such a sad day
Ref.: I’m walking down 5th Avenue
I smell the smoke, I taste the dust
I smell the flowers, I taste the tears
All around me that’s what people say
Until this day we’ll chase them away
It was ignorance to use no violence
Against their “President” with blood on his hands
Ref.: I’m walking down 5th Avenue
I smell the fears and taste the sweat
I smell the candles I taste the ashes
For a long time I hear them say
The problem’s not mine until that day
I think your sleep has been too deep
Weapons to gold, it was a fault
Ref.: I’m walking down 5th Avenue
I smell the smoke, I taste the dust
And nothing’s changed in God we trust
I know you Mr. Bush
Shame on you! You are a liar!
A cheater, junkie, criminal, a murderer
Oh, you Goddamned son of a Bush
And now I guess we don’t need such a mess
The interests we’ve got, are shared with a lot
And what do we say at such a sad day
Ref.: I’m walking down 5th Avenue
I smell the smoke, I taste the dust
I smell the flowers, I taste the tears
All around me that’s what people say
Until this day we’ll chase them away
It was ignorance to use no violence

I smell the candles I taste the ashes
For a long time I hear them say
