Yes, 'Your Father Told Me' belongs to those 'straight to the point' songs, I love so much, and full of surprises too - piano lines and the riffs have such a happy wilderness (guitars sound just a bit like Santana... corresponding so brilliant with the lovely marimabas). And lovely Sixties influences, cool beats, straight bass lines... J.O.'s vocals offer a sovereign quality with really international character - and the progressive break with Marimbas, and those cute 'crying child' and toy samples complete the fun factor...

J. O. Simon is very busy these days with clever produced tracks like 'Your Father Told Me'. And he provides convincing, catchy music to us. He's the well-deserved 'artist of the month' for IOM and one of the best German songwriters for so many months more...
