Die Musik von LEAF kann man als eine eindrucksvolle Symbiose aus sanften Klängen und energiegeladenen Ausbrüchen in härtere Gefilde beschreiben!
Die 4-er Formation aus dem Mönchengladbacher Raum hat sich ihre eigene, musikalische Welt erschaffen, die inspiriert ist durch persönliche Erlebnisse und Erfahrungen.
Neben der außergewöhnlichen Stimme von Sänger Jamie, verfügen LEAF auch über die Fähigkeit, Musik zu schreiben, die einen nachhaltigen Eindruck auf den Hörer
hinterlässt. Man vermag sich kaum der Energie eines Songs wie beispielsweise "Inside me" zu entziehen. Mit dem Begriff NEW ROCK hätte man diese Band zu simpel
abgestempelt. Hier passiert viel mehr! Eigenständigkeit und emotionaler Tiefgang sind garantiert!
Das Jahr 2003 brachte viele positive Dinge für die Band mit sich. Neben dem Release der ersten 4-Track Demo CD, die auf unglaublich gute Resonanzen stieß und u.a. bei der Radio-Sendung „Heimatkult“ auf Eins Live vorgestellt wurde, teilten sich LEAF auch die Bühne mit Bands wie beispielsweise Knorkator, Crosscut, Superfly 69, Substyle, Waterdown oder auch Pinkostar (End of Summer Open Air, September `03).
Gerade auf der Bühne entfaltet sich die Qualität dieser Band mehr als offensichtlich. Die Live-Performance der vier untermalt das musikalische Geschehen auf eine eindrucksvolle Art und Weise, so das man sich der Energie die hier freigesetzt wird nicht entziehen kann.
Das Qualität sich irgendwann immer durchsetzt zeigte sich im November `03. LEAF unterschrieben ihren Plattenvertrag bei LOCOMOTIVE (u.a. Prong, Astral Doors, Mage de Oz, Tierra Santa, Hamlet, etc.), welche am 24 Mai 2004 die erste CD „CIRCLE OF WAYS“ veröffentlichen wird.
Gerade live entfaltet sich die Qualität dieser Band mehr als offensichtlich. Die Performance untermalt das musikalische Geschehen auf eindrucksvolle Weise. Definitiver

The music of Leaf can be described as an impressive symbiosis of soft tunes and energetic breakouts to harder levels! Their musical independence and the emotional deepness are what makes this band so very special. They created their very own world of music, inspired and shaped by personal experiences.
The story of Leaf began in autumn 2000. Songwriter Jaime Scholz (Vocals) and Timo Brauwers (Guitar) were assigned to contribute a song to the soundtrack for the film “The Amulett”.
While recording, the thought of forming a band out of the present project, evolved. With Martin Rollmann (Bass) and Marcel Römer (Drums) two great musicians were found to complete the musical and personal appearance of Leaf. The first live performance by Leaf at the filmpremier of “The Amulett”, left an impressed and surprised audience. And this was only the very beginning…….
The year 2003 brought many pleasant surprises to the band Leaf.Besides releasing the first track demo CD,which met with a general acclaim and was even airplayed on the radio stations “ 1live”, and “BFBS 1” the band as well shared a stage with artists like Knorkator, Crosscut,Superfly 69,Substyle,Waterdown,and Pinkostar ( END OF SUMMER OPEN AIR ’03). Especially on stage the band’s energy is more than obvious.Their live performance supports their music in an extremly impressive way.There is no way to escape the energy the four musicians bring to the stage and the audience.That quality always maintains, in the end, was proven in November ’03. Leaf signed their first record-contract, given to them by Locomotive records ( Prong, Astral Doors,Mage de Oz,Tierra Santa,Hamlet,etc.). The album “Circle of Ways” will be released on 24 May 2004
