Gegründet im Frühjahr 2006, ist LAST GRAIN IN THE HOURGLASS ein Ergebnis aus den Ideen und Visionen vierer Menschen. Die Langzeitfreunde Stefan (Gitarre) und Florian (Bass) haben bereits in verschiedenen Bands zusammen gespielt, nach der Auflösung ihres letzten Projektes fanden sie bald den jungen Schlagzeuger Max. Kurz darauf übernahm Chris, der auch bei Münchens Chaos Metal-Act RAPTURE spielt, die Gesangsarbeit. Dank eines klaren Konzepts schrieb die Band in kurzer Zeit fünf Songs, die im August 2006 im Proberaum aufgenommen und von Gitarrist Stefan abgemischt wurden. Im September 2006 begann die Band damit live aufzutreten, dabei schafft sie eine sehr eigene Atmosphäre auf der Bühne. Die Musik von LAST GRAIN IN THE HOURGLASS ist nicht einfach zu beschreiben, sie vermischt dezente Progressive Rock-Einflüsse mit Heavy-Rock Ausbrüchen, auf der einen Seite ruhig, auf der anderen Seite schwer und erbarmungslos. Am besten ist es daher immer noch, sich diese ambitionierte Mischung einfach selbst anzuhören.

Founded in spring 2006, LAST GRAIN IN THE HOURGLASS is a hybrid of the four peoples ideas and visions. Long-time friends Stefan (guitar) and Florian (bass) already played in various bands before, but with the demise of their previous project the found young drummer Max. Soon afterwards Chris who is also playing with Munichs Chaos Metal-Act RAPTURE was taking the vocals duties. Through a clear concept the band quickly wrote 5 songs that were recorded in August 2006 by guitarist Stefan in the bands reheasal room. In September 2006 the band started playing live, creating some very own atmosphear on stage. The music of LAST GRAIN IN THE HOURGLASS is not easy to discribe, mixing up decent progressive rock with heavy rock outbursts, being one time quiet, the other time heavy and relentless. Best you listen to this ambitious bastard by yourself.
