Ich hatte diesen Song (er ist schon 1982 entstanden) schon 2017 hochgeladen, war aber nie so richtig zufrieden damit. Jetzt habe ich praktisch alles neu gemacht, bis auf ein paar Gesangs-Stellen, die ich heute wahrscheinlich auch nicht besser singen bzw. sprechen könnte, denn es handelt sich - zumindest bei den Strophen - mehr um Sprechgesang. Der Song soll in den Strophen etwas Bedrohliches und Düsteres vermitteln, denn es geht um ein ganz, ganz böses Wesen oder eine Person, die eine andere Person/Wesen total kontrolliert und ihr das auch textlich klarmacht. So eine Art Shades of light Grey vielleicht ;-)
Der eher einlullende Anfang soll nur auf eine falsche Fährte führen, der Text macht recht schnell klar, worum es geht. Der Song hat 3 Strophen und ebenso viele Refrains, alle mit verschiedenem Text. Die Bridge enthält diesmal als kleine Überraschung das kurze Gitarrensolo, dessen etwas "leiernder" Sound bewusst mit einem Flanger erzeugt wurde - ich wollte das so. Vielleicht um das Leiden der gequälten Person auszudrücken, wer weiß..
