kanjo - that are two friends coming from the deep-west of germany. both are professionals in graphic-design and their passion is sound-design. since the early nineties inspired from techno- and minimal-music by artists like jeff mills, theo parrish, carl craig, richie hawtin, laurent garnier... and many more great artists of this period and the whole rave-scene in germany, they became real music fans. also jazz, rock and hip-hop influenced their taste in music. the next step was the development of their own electronic party-series which started in 2004 with changing locations in the rhein-ruhr area. the main idea of the party-concept was that it shouldn..t happen so often, but when it started, it was realized with a more demanding line-up. a headliner played on every event followed by a newcomer of the scene to support him. kanjo started in 2006 to create a platform for electronic dance-music and experimental sound-sculptures for interested friends. the music style reached from ambient and minimalistic to deep-house and updated techno productions. the central theme of kanjo (like in the graphics) is to connect the digital- with the analogue-world. but the main tool is the computer and its huge abilities - the man-machine-dream. kanjo handles the sound design as a mixture of different styles and influences to create a new one. everything is possible and there are no boundaries in creating. kanjo is in a current process of producing new sounds and designs. on a journey through both worlds with an unknown destination. kanjos main moving force is to transport emotions produced by machines and trying to tell stories in its own special language. ..
