(A teenage boy’s lament)
Do you remember, Billy the kid
He was a lonesome on the run.
Patty Garrett was his friend,
But in the end they had to fight.
Billy was the loser
For all he was a hero.
Pat, he was the winner,
But all in all he was the killer.
Ref.:
Rebels die young
‘Cause they have to fight.
Rebels die young
But the can not cry.
Rebels are heroes
But they’re always alone.
Girl if you meet a rebel
Take him to your home!
Cries to the lord, not to die in the night
If the killer will come.
He wants to fight, knows he will die
So he is living for that day.
But if he’s gone
Legends live for ever.
Now, listen to the stories,
Of the rebels and the heroes
Ref.
Break:
While the rebel walks alone
All he wanna do is
Pray for forgiveness
And peace for his soul
Ref.
God, save the rebels! We haven’t so much.
Or bring them back to life.
My heroes are vanished, rotten to dust.
All are lying in their graves
But late at night
When I raise my hands.
I pray for the souls
of the rebels and the heroes

Rebels die young
But the can not cry.
Rebels are heroes
But they’re always alone.
Please, Lord, save the rebels,
Cause they’ve to die young
