Don't drink and drive!
Frohes neues Jahr 2008.

Broken hearts Santa
I’m driving down the road at night,
The radio plays silent night,
I’m thinking ’bout the years before.
Nine weeks you’ve left me than,
I’m still thinking ’bout you, Sam,
It’s the first Christmas on my own.
I cross the white line,
Right behind that truck stop sign,
Parking my diesel by the door.
A bearded man behind the desk,
Offers me a chair to rest,
Gives me a whisky and a raw.
Ref.:
He’s broken hearts Santa,
Offers food, drinks and an ear.
He’s broken hearts Santa,
I drown my sorrows in a beer.
Another beer in my mind,
I’m telling him about the time,
We both were the perfect pair.
I’m telling of the fun we had,
How wonderful you were in bed,
And all about our little girl.
He listens and he smiles at me,
A glimpse in his eyes I see,
I’m telling him ‘bout love and dead.
He answers: man, you will see,
In a while you’ll be free,
And your sorrows are all gone
Ref.:
He’s broken hearts Santa,
Offers food, drinks and an ear.
He’s broken hearts Santa,
I drown my sorrows in a beer.
I stand up and turn to go,
I tip my hat and I move on,
I stumble outside the door.
My engines crying in the rain,
I cross the white line again,
Get back on that lonely road.
Driving is a bad idea,
With whisky an a lot a beer
These thoughts they are in my mind.
To right I move the wheel a stitch,
While I cross that river bridge,
And let my self be free again.
Ref.:
He’s broken hearts Santa,
Offers food, drinks and an ear.
He’s broken hearts Santa,
I drown myself in a beer.
He’s broken hearts Santa,
Life is easy if it’s gone.
He’s broken hearts Santa,
I feel my body going down.
