Friends

Texting through the night.
I don’t fear the dark and I don’t easily fright.

The sense of you, being there, all alone and confused,
Makes me wonder if I’m fair or a troublemaker,
Trying to understand your ways, Trying not to come to close,
Shines through night like a pose…
and now I have to put it on paper.

Are we just friends and will this go on for ever?
Let go of your fears and never say never.
Friends is something too [j]generic to be;
It’s like walking on water, only to be sunk in the sea.

I really wish I could understand your thoughts
and feel your feelings, feel your notions your going through…
What I’d give for trading places, just for a second, I could face it.

The connection was made, the feelings were true,
If all I said and felt was real why am I feeling blue?
