Cherished was founded in 2008, when five musicians from the Ruhr Area, NRW, Germany wanted to express their passion for heavy riffs and brutal breakdowns, combined with atmospheric melodies. During their first year many member changes caused problems and creative stagnation, but in the end of 2009 the final line up was found.
Influenced by all different styles of music, Cherished is one of the most versatile bands of todays metal/hardcore genre. Powerful riffing, evil breakdowns, violent vocals and a sense of epic melodies form the bands unique style, which contains much more character than the standard modern metalcore sound.
