BORN IN AFAR verbindet Akustik Rock mit traditionellen Instrumenten des afrikanischen Kontinents. Die Faszination Afrikas spielt jedoch nicht nur musikalisch, sondern auch in vielen der auf Deutsch und auf Englisch gesungenen Texte eine tragende Rolle. Der Großteil der Songs dreht sich vor allem um die Verbundenheit mit der Natur und vertont selbsterlebte Geschichten, andere sprechen dagegen gesellschaftskritische Themen an. Live wird die Musik in Form einer Trio-Bandbesetzung mit Gesang, Gitarre und vielen verschiedenen Trommeln und Perkussion-Instrumenten umgesetzt. Von Balladen über atmosphärische Klänge bis hin zu rockigen Gitarrenriffs, treibenden Rhythmen und Ohrwürmern ist alles dabei.

BORN IN AFAR combines acoustic rock with traditional instruments of the African continent. The fascination of Africa not only plays an important role musically, but also in many of the lyrics sung in German and English. The majority of the songs deal with connection to nature and set self-experienced stories to music. Others, however, address socio-critical topics. The music will be performed live by a trio band’s line-up with vocals, guitar and various kinds of drums and percussion instruments. From ballads to atmospheric sounds to rocking guitar riffs, impulsive rhythms and catchy tunes, everything is included.
