Nachdem mein Vater verstorben ist, führe ich PHALANX alleine weiter.
Das Monster ist ein Scan von einem Ätzradier, das mein Vater selbst damals in der 11en Klasse entworfen hat.
Die PHALANX-Schrift ist ein Font, den mein Vater selbst entworfen hat.
Auch der Songtext stammt von ihm.
Ich habe unter anderem seine Stimme geerbt, ohne Direktvergleich sind wir praktisch nicht voneinander zu unterscheiden, wenn ich ihn nachahme. Daher lag es nahe, dass ich den Gesang nach seinem Stil ebenso fortführe.
Wenn ich ins Mikro spreche, erschrecke ich mich teilweise noch, wie ähnlich wir klingen.
Der Song ist originalgetreu eingespielt. Trotzdem sind unvermeidlich persönliche Nuancen drin. Das schlagzeug ist nochmal brachialer als im Original, Gitarrenriffs etwas ausgefeilter.
Die Solos sind generell improvisiert, es gibt jedoch einzelne Teilstücke, die mein Vater erkennbar immer gleich gespielt hatte. Diese habe ich möglichst 1:1 nachgespielt und nenne sie selbst "Signature"-Stellen, um sie von meinen eigenen Parts zu unterscheiden.
Ihm zu Ehren führe ich PHALANX fort.
