TRUST

You can´t build a house if you can´t trust the builder,
You can´t build love if you can´t trust your lover.
You can´t jump from a plane of you can´t trust your parachute,
You can´t marry a girl just because she´s cute.
You can´t climb a mountain if you can´t trust your health
You can´t write a book if you can´t trust yourself.

If you can´t take them by their word,
And it´s the second time or even the third,
You may have reason for a doubt or two.
Are they true to you? Are they?

Trust is a little bird on a hand stretched out.
It´s trust depends on how it fared
When it picked you out the last time around.

You cannot trust an egg if you don´t know who laid it,
You cannot trust a joke if you don´t know who made it.
You cannot trust a cat if you don´t love it,
You cannot trust money, even if you have it.
You cannot trust peace if you cannot trust your neighbor,
You cannot trust the preacher if you can´t trust the savior.
