t all started when 5 guys from the wide ruhr area in germany came together in spring 2007 with the idea of starting an oldschool hardcore band. These 5 guys were Jan, David (both of Jormundgard), Sascha, Fab and Alex (back then from The Anti Doctrine and later anewhope ). They started to practice and out came some very simple but fast music. At first they were satisfied ... -but soon they got bored. So they started adding some blast beats an dissonant chords and finally a second guitarist named Björn. Now with two guitars they were ready to leave the hardcore boundaries behind and to write more elaborate music with odd time signatures, weird riffs and vocals straight from hell. Bassplayer Sascha left in friendship and was replaced by technical bassguitar monster Matt (also from Jormundgard). "SSD" were finally complete and ready to write even more destructive music.
The music of SWIFT.SILENT.DEADLY is driven by a message similar to that of many hardcore and grindcore bands, but is also manifold enough to please every metal and mathcore fan out there. This is music not just to bang your head or start a moshpit to - it's music to make you think (if you manage to figure out the lyrics) and try to make you grapple with its unorthodox structures in song writing. Absolutely low tuned guitars meet dissonant moshparts and odd blast beat time signatures.
After months of songwriting SSD will finally enter the stage and perform their unorthodox chaos-grind-mosh-whatever-core in the summer of 2008 - so BOOK THEM and GO CHECK 'EM OUT!!!
