He stood on the top of the mountain at last
Through the echoes he could look into his past
A handsome young boy ambitious and strong
On his way to the top no matter how long

But all that remained is just skin and bones
So weak on his knees he looks down to the ground

Where they’re sharing their time in churches and bars
And they work for their families their houses their cars
And he stood where nobody else stood before
But they just don’t remember that man anymore

In the valley he shouts with his last breath
And his poor soul finally finds its long way to death
But the wind blew away the wave of his scream
And death took the memories of all he had seen

And no one brought flowers or spoke at his grave
He died alone on the Top of his mountain that day

And they’re sharing their time in churches and bars
